Dunacell Kft. Installs Technology to Manufacture Finished Products - VIDEO REPORT

2022. 01. 17.

As a result of an investment of EUR 21.5 million, Dunacell Dunaújvárosi Cellulózgyár Kft. installs two new grinding production lines to make high value-added finished products, and it develops a related packaging plant as well as energy and logistics infrastructure.

The business with 60 years of tradition is one of the largest food fiber manufacturing companies in Europe. Dunacell Kft., owned by the German Rettenmaier group (JRS) since 2010, produces, apart from food fiber, compost, i.e. crop enhancing material that is created during straw processing from residues and biodegradable waste in the area.

Their semi-finished and finished products are solely sold for export − globally, across Europe, in the Far East and in American markets, mainly to businesses in food, and, to a lesser extent, in pharmaceuticals.

Thanks to the development to be carried out by May 31, 2023 the company will become equipped to manufacture finished products, namely micron-sized grinded, pulverized food fiber, thus increasing the added value of its sectoral role significantly.
