Agrosprint, a Hungarian-owned fruit and vegetable processing and quick-freezing plant, is carrying out developments in two Hungarian sites. With the investment to be realized in Nyírlugos-Cserhágó and Karcag by the end of 2023, the company's frozen fruit and vegetable processing capacity will be expanded, and the technology and infrastructure at the sites will be developed, which will create Europe's largest quick-frozen sweet corn processing company. With a total investment of almost EUR 42 million, the company will create 110 new jobs while retaining 221 employees.

The family-run Agrosprint Mezőgazdasági és Ipari Termékforgalmazó Zrt. (Agrosprint Agricultural and Industrial Product Distribution Ltd.) is a long-standing export-oriented and Hungarian-owned company for the processing and quick-freezing of vegetables and fruit products. Over the last 20 years it has become Hungary's largest quick-frozen vegetable and fruit processing company, now processing more than 30 kinds of vegetable and fruit products in its plants. In order to secure the raw material, the company is also engaged in the production of its own feedstock.

Trade relations with 35 countries have been established till date, the number of which continues to grow and also extends beyond Europe. 70% of their products serve export markets, and thanks to the investment they will be able to expand export markets by more than 50% and enter new international markets.

The investments retaining 221 jobs and creating 110 new ones, involving Nyírlugos-Cserhágó along with Karcag are expected to be realized by the end of 2023, and they aim to increase the capacity of the company's frozen vegetable and fruit processing, as well as to improve the technology and infrastructure at the premises. As a result of the investments Agrosprint will be the largest frozen fruit and vegetable processing company in Hungary, and also become the largest quick-frozen sweet corn processing company in Europe. The company's raw material processing will increase from the current 90,000 tons to 150,000 tons over the next five years.

In addition to its existing processing plant the new fruit and vegetable processing plant in Karcag will be implemented on an area of about 8 hectares in the framework of a greenfield investment by Agrosprint Zrt. In the new plant, automated processing will operate at more than 9,500 square metres, to which a 6,000-square metre -20 °C deep-freezing storage capacity will be connected. A biological wastewater treatment plant will also be constructed on 1.5 hectares to treat the wastewater generated during processing.

The Nyírlugos-Cserhágó site will increase the production capacity of quick-frozen sweet corn and carry out technology and infrastructure development.
